Easy Almond Waffles

There are few things better than waking up on a chilly morning and enjoying a delicious cup of hot coffee and a plate of waffles hot off the griddle. We think these Easy Almond Waffles would be a delicious twist on a classic breakfast that is sure to please everyone at the table!

Easy Almond Waffles Recipe

Yield: about 5 small waffles or 4 medium sized waffles

Cook time: 10 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes

Special equipment: Your favorite waffle maker


  • 1 pouch Maja's Pancake & Waffle Mix 
  • 1 ⅓ cup non-dairy milk
  • ¼ cup oil
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: 
    • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
    • ⅓ cup of sliced almonds
    • Fresh berries


      Begin this recipe by adding Maja’s baking mix and the cinnamon to a large bowl. Gently mix these ingredients together. Next, whisk in and combine the non-dairy milk, oil, almond extract, and vanilla extract. Let the batter sit for about 5 minutes before cooking. 

      While the batter sits, grease and preheat your waffle iron to a low/medium heat. Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and let them cook until they become golden brown. 

      Add your favorite toppings to the waffles before enjoying! We suggest powdered sugar, sliced almonds, and fresh berries. Yum!
