With Thanksgiving just around the corner, our minds are probably focused on all the savory side dishes and the perfect pumpkin pie. However, let’s not forget about the most important meal of the day - breakfast!

We have the most delicious recipe for festive pumpkin cinnamon rolls that you are sure to love, especially around this time of year! Start your Thanksgiving morning off right with these warm and gooey pumpkin cinnamon rolls, which will keep you full and satisfied until it is time to gather around the table with your family.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

The rolls:

  • 1 package of Maja’s Pancake & Waffle Mix
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1.7 oz. non-dairy milk
  • 2.5 oz. pumpkin puree

The glaze (optional):

  • 5 tbsp white sugar
  • ½ tsp water

Instructions:

Begin by adding the package of Maja’s dry mix to a large bowl. Add in the dry yeast, milk, pumpkin puree, and only 1 tbsp of sugar. Combine together with a wooden spoon, and then begin to slowly knead the dough by hand until it is nice and soft. If it is sticky at all, add a little flour to your hands to help with the kneading! Let the dough rest for at least 15 minutes.

After the dough has set a bit, preheat your oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Next, place a little bit of flour on your counter and begin to roll out the dough with a rolling pin. You want to create a nice thick rectangular shape out of the dough. Take your room temperature margarine and spread it all around the rolled out dough. Sprinkle the remaining sugar and cinnamon on top of the butter.

Now, you’ll want to start to roll the dough. Roll it slowly, making sure it stays as even as possible on the sides. Cut the dough into about 1 ½ inch rolls, and then let them rest on a tray until they double in size.

Bake the rolls for about 13 minutes or until lightly golden on the top. While the rolls are baking, begin the glaze by combining the sugar and water in a small bowl until the glaze becomes smooth and thick.

Top the pumpkin cinnamon rolls with the glaze when they come out of the oven, and you are sure to “fall” in love with these autumn treats!
